File a new SAFE-T claim button not on the page

I have a problem with a buyer claiming a refund but not sending the item back. I emailed amazon & they said I can File a new SAFE-T claim in the top right-hand corner of the page.but it’s not there or I cannot find it.

if they haven’t sent it back, the buyer should not have been refunded

if they have sent it back and been refunded, and you haven’t received it, the carrier has presumably lost it in which case, you cannot file a safe t claim

safe t claims are only for when you receive back an item damaged, or different etc

I’ve now filed a SAFE-T claim successfully.I just have to wait a few days.
Oh, I posted on the amazon USA forum by mistake.which caused a duplicate thread

I emailed the buyer and they sent me a tracking no. & said amazon refunded them automatically. I finaly I got the item (a CD) back from a courier today. They gave no reason for the return which I knew nothing about until I saw the order on the shipped item page.
I get less than 10 orders per month (average) on amazon and certainly cannot afford this. My orders dropped a lot after the pandemic and never recovered.
I’m a buyer as well and I always tell the seller if the item is faulty (send a photo) & they’ve always said 'There’s no need to return the item

But amazon had no right to charge me for the return (and I told them so) because the item was NOT faulty. The buyer must have changed their mind because they gave no reason for the return.
Now when I sell something on amazon, I have no confidence at all and buyers can return things on a whim with amazon charging ME for the return. How can that be right? Maybe big businesses can afford that but I certainly can’t

I have had returns before but only when the buyer ordered the wrong item and I dealt with it myself & they paid the return. I found the ‘manage returns’ & the buyer said the CD had some tiny scratches on the blank part although it plays perfectly.
She probably wanted a mint or new condition one which will be tough to get as it’s a fairly rare CD single. I believe I selected the wrong condition when I first listed it.
Oh well, the music is really good on it so I’ll never resell it. After amazon fees & postage, it’s not worth selling CDs here anyway

Hi @ vinyl_age1,

Thank you all the details you have provided.

Could you please provide the order ID in question?

Did the buyer addressed the issue with this order before opening the A-Z claim?

Kind regards,
Julia.
