Amazon Account Manager for Deals and Marketing Program
So as the title says I have had some emails from this account manager that is trying to tell me the benefits of running a coupon deal on some of my products. He went on to explain the benefits it has to the algorithm and the ways in which it will boost my visibility, and claiming it will help even after the campaign ends. I spoke to him for about 30 minutes on the phone and he was informative and told me he would be helping me on my account for at least the next year if I would like to engage with him.
Has anybody else had this happen, and do they find the help very useful? I understand a bit about the different campaigns - lightning deals, coupons, 7 day deals but was never sure if they would be any good for the type of products I sell. The account manager seems to think so, but wouldn’t surprise me if Amazon are just trying to extract more fees from me.
What do people think?
(And yes, he is a real account manager working for Amazon, official email and spoke to me about things in my account only Amazon would know)

You do realise, that what they call account managers are just sales people?
I can guarantee, unless your using the paid for service, that once you have whatever they are selling setup and running, they will disappear.
You can see this has happened on multiple occasions, by looking through the forums.
As to vouchers etc, it’s something that only you can really decide as to whether it’s worth it or not.
If you think it may be, then give it a try, but don’t spend too much. Then you can increase your spend if it does well.
