Book trademark question
I have published a home improvement book under the name of my home improvement business. I am the author and self-publisher of the book and ebook. I have also already ordered printed copies to fulfill Amazon orders myself. I want to enroll in the Brand Registry and use my company name as the book publisher, so I will file a trademark. The question is, which Trademark category works best for me? I think this one would cover everything:
041 Publishing of books, e-books, audio books, music and illustrations
Do you have any advice or thoughts?
Thank you

The book is copyrighted I assume? You can trademark your company name, but that will not stop other sellers from selling used copies on the Amazon page.

As soon as you create the page, you will have bookjackers trying to steal the buy box. ( Google 'bookjacking' )
You may find that one of them offers a VG copy for more than your NEW copy, and Amazon gives them the buy box. This can tank your sales, as many potential buyers erroneously believe that Amazon puts the best deal in the box, and therefore if that offer is not good for them, they simply won't buy at all.

Hello @Seller_aYnRmGMUYuMCn,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I can help provide some detail into what types of Trademarks are accepted by Amazon Brand Registry. Each Country, plus WIPO and EUIPO has different types of TM's that are accepted (i.e. Design mark, word mark and mark type). The good thing is, there are help pages broken out by country on what is accepted in Brand Registry.
Please review this Discussion which was created last week
Brand Registry Design mark vs Word mark
Although the title does not specifically state your question, the links to those mentioned country guides are linked in that post.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Best, Dougal
