Return Refund a Personalised Item

Think this automatic returns only works for buyers.
Sent a personalised door plaque order to a customer, customer opened a return case because ordered the wrong number by mistake, now my question why we have to pay for postage back and why we have to refund a customer who ordered by mistake a personalised item
I contacted Amazon and says work with the buyer a honor solution… what this means… apparentely the buyer sent already back the item and has been issued the refund
Not happy at all. Anybody else had this problem, is any way that we can have our money back and do not pay for postage back

Customised products should be exempt from auto authorised returns
Do you have customisation on the order or do buyers just message you with the info ?

I always thought personalised items were exempt from the prepaid return. You may have the option to file a Safe-T claim saying the order was a personalised item and therefore exempt from the prepaid return. Also to prevent this issue in the future you can apply to have your SKUs exempt from the process by completing the exemption form online. To do this follow the link below and add the ASINs which are personalised and wait for the application to be approved.

We are going to have a look of those customised options, we did not have any problem with these door plaques in the past years so we never checked other options

Really I did not look the info because we never had any problems with these door plaques before, our account will be 10 years this October and Amazon is changing policies etc all the time

as others have stated, custom products is the way to go and to give Amazon its due , the feature is really good and it has saved me a lot of time over the method you are currently using

bit of a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it can be used to set multiple customisation options all in one easy way for customers to understand and configure their requirements
