So, first (and probably last) time using Amazon-partnered carrier program. At first I thought: GREAT, I am sending products from India to the US, and with the Amazon-partnered carrier alternative I was going to save about 1k or so of the usual shipment option offered by our manufacturing partner (I send via air), so I thought it was a no-brainer...
Well, Amazon very strongly suggests us sellers to use their partnered carrier, however, they provide very little information for those who've never used it, and once you finally set up the shipment, they provide a bunch of documents to be filled, with very little explanation as to how to fill them, and the worst part is, once the shipment is completed, they totally wash their hands with the rest of the process. I guess they just care about you chossing their partnered carrier, they collect their fees, and don't care about the rest.
I would have assumed that since it's an "Amazon-PARTNERED" solution, Amazon would have more information to provide to sellers and would be more on top of the progress of the shipment ...as it turns out, the carrier (UPS) did not pick up the merchandise on the day selected during the shipment creation, but instead looks like it picked the shipment about 10 days after, meaning that I am paying for air shipment which will take roughly almost the same as a fast sea shipment. The shipment, 10 days later is still "in transit" on Amazon, and on the UPS page it's not even showing that the merchandise was picked up...We'll see how long it takes.
My take on this, BEWARE of what you're getting into if chossing the Amazon-partnered carrier.
