Business Partner Removal Help

Hello All

2x of our shareholders in the company may leave soon and one of them is the main Amazon account holder with highest shares.

I wanted to involve Amazon team into this so they can guide me through because last thing I want is my account goes into verification and then I do not have the right documents.

I want to check if someone went through this process before and if they can share their experience and also if they can help with with Do’s and Don’ts?

Can someone also please share email address so I can email them and get them involve into the process because (a) I can get right documentations just in case if my account goes into verification process and (b) they might leave some notes on my Amazon account and that may help me throughout the process.

I don’t think you can really forewarn Amazon about this.

Assuming you have a registered Ltd Company is to do the following

  1. Update Companies house that the shareholding has changed.
  2. Obtain a new confirmation statement to show the new shareholding
  3. Only once you have the confirmation statement update Amazon to remove the shareholders
  4. Amazon may ask for proof of new shareholding so you can submit the confirmation statement

There may be other documents that they ask you for such as proof of address and ID for the existing shareholders or any new shareholders

Also absolutely make sure that you have access to the main account email address and 2FA device/number - if the person leaves without that being handed over you’ll have a really bad time tying to recover full access to the account.

As our valued seller, your satisfaction is our topmost priority. I have investigated it thoroughly and found the following to support you:

Please note, whether beneficial owner change or not is very important.

1, if the beneficial owner information not changed, even if they have left the company, they can still receive the share funding.

2, if the beneficial owner information is changed, then you need to have your company info updated on company house first. And make sure you will need to have the last confirmation statement (CS01) showing changes to the shares and shareholders.

At last, you will need to contact the verification team directly to request Primary Contact/Beneficial Owner change.

Please send an email to the verification team’s email address below, from the primary contact email of your seller account, to apply for the account information change:

Please note, Although you can add users to your professional seller account as secondary users, you cannot transfer your seller account. If the business ownership changes, the new owner should establish a new seller account in their name. This means you cannot change the Primary account holder email for this account.

Is that right? because when I go to Seller Central>>>Setting>>>Account Info>>>Identity Information - I can see all the members details, I think all I have to do is to remove the member I want to remove and make another member which is already in the list of Beneficial Owner a Primary contact and beneficial owner.

May be customer service did not get my question and think I want to add another beneficial owner?
