buyer demands cancellation refund for an order already dispatch in transit
- buyer ordered today around 12pm a valuable item to a caravan park (!)
- buy ordered with standard free delivery with ETA 28th August.
- we shipped the order for the buyer really fast and 1 hour later with valid tracking added via RM Tracked 48 and handed to local RM post office by 1:20pm
4:20pm buyer emails demanding a refund as it won't arrive in time and they are no longer at the address when its due to arrive! What the heck am I meant to do about that? I politely told the buyer i would have cancelled but its already left and i can't cancel the order now. iterated their delivery eta and stated the goods were sent as fast as they could have been on the postage method selected, and that the buyer will probably get the order on or before the Amazon ETA anyway.
i really dont want this to go A to Z as i know technically speaking if the buyer no longer is at the address and can claim non receipt by them they get an instant win for an INR A to Z refund, but my appeals are always denied on tracked 48 items. (no signature) and it would be unfair as a seller for me to lose out just because the buyer didn't review the delivery date correctly before placing their order..

There is nothing more that you can do. It may be a scam but it may be genuine.
The same has happened to every other seller, you're not alone.
Hopefully the caravan park reception will refuse delivery.
Just hope for the best and if anything comes up, deal with it at the time.
