Temporary closure of bookstore

Is there a way I can temporarily close my recent bookshop. The reason, my wife has underlying health issues , which means she is in the vulnerable category. I am an individual seller and post via Royal Mail, which means standing amongst an army of people in the Post Office. Any ideas?

Activate your holiday settings and your listings will all be closed. They’ll come back when you turn your holiday settings off again.

However, even with holiday settings activated you are still required to answer any customer messages that come in though with no active listings you shouldn’t get too many.

We have just done this - putting books on holiday for 4 weeks . At the moment we are now packing up the outstanding orders, then will just self-isolate, but keep an eye on e-mails.
Putting books on holiday is one of the better & simpler Amazon procedures.
Best wishes to everyone - keep well.

Another possibility to consider, but only you know if it would work for you and your circumstances, is to continue selling, buy shipping via Amazon, where you print off the postage label and the cost is taken from your Amazon account, and have someone who is not at risk or self-isolating to drop off your parcels at the PO.
