Extortionate postage charges for a refund
One customer bought one item (a hot water bottle, nothing special), they changed their mind and decided to send it back as they no longer need it, today I got it and in the refund they ask for £26 postage fees. The item is 0.396 kg, regular shape, not hazmat, wasn’t delivered by a golden coach with white horses and the postage on it says £4.45. Why are they asking me for all that money, I am only refunding the £4.45 and the item, not a penny more. Or is there a catch I am not aware of? Like I have to pay the customer for the journey to the post office or something?

The cheek of it.
we did get something similar when’s buyer asked for petrol money To drive to the post office an hour away. They lived in Bristol and we said why didn’t they use the on 2 min walk away (checked their address / local PO) they didn’t respond to that one.
As others said refund the product and out going postage if charged and tick the charge return label.
