Some will be the same some higher some lower, of the 100’s of thousands of sellers on UK a tiny faction use these forums so any answers are completely pointless.

I have had the first weekend in 12 years without any sales. I usually average 3 sales a day and double figures at the weekend and have had 4 sales in a week with the last one on Thursday. I know there is a cash crisis but this is very unusual for me. There are queues at all the restaurants and fast food outlets near where I live, so people are still spending money, but not on books.

The weather affects internet sales just as much as events do, when the sun comes out the uk goes out, brick and mortar businesses, fairs and festivals increase sales when its nice, internet does better when its cold and wet

Unless you are selling sunny products then this is normal

Hard to do comparisons really. My sales are stronger than they have been all year but I have invested in new stock and also have some summer products which are selling well.

It is part of selling online that you have good periods and bad periods. This is much the same as a retail shop would have.

The last week though may well have been affected by the bank holiday, school half term and the good weather. All things which have an impact on sales.

Longer term the cost of living crisis is hitting some people hard and they are reducing their spend.

If you share listings with others you also need to look at how competitive you are as well. If you are not competitive on pricing you will have a lower share of sales.

If you have children in school - you know. It’s term break and half of UK’s families with children are going for holidays. The EU tunnel had busiest week in a year, the roads to airports are gridlocked. It’s a short window when families can take holiday - and they do, in big masses.

My sales this month compared to 12 months ago are up for the first time this year.

This is one of these threads that bug me, it’s like people comparing electricity usage on Facebook…

Some peoples will be up, others will be down. There is so much that can affect sales, I notice mine drop in the good weather for instance - maybe people go out for birthdays more and don’t send as many cards, or maybe they are out buying a present so get a card while they’re out instead of ordering online… but I’m sure other peoples go up, if they sell paddling pools and beach items for example…

Comparing my sales to anyone else’s is pointless unless they are selling the exact same products, on the exact same listings, for the exact same prices with the exact same delivery times… and even then its probably rng of who gets the buybox

Weeks without a single sale! No longer depressed about it just absolutely sick of it.
