Conflicting issues with FBA shipments and VAT applications in UK

Hi everyone, my account is currently deactivated. The reason is that we don't have a VAT number.

So we can't upload products and we can't create shipments to ship to FBA.

However, when we submit the VAT number application service to the third party, they ask us to provide the relevant information.

1.FBA Inventory Proof

2.Proof of Inventory

In this way, we entered a paradoxical ground. If we want to apply for VAT, then we have to upload the products and create the shipments to ship to FBA, but if we want to ship to FBA, we have to recover the account first, but recovering the account requires a VAT number.

How can we solve this?

Have a nice day everyone!

You need to register for VAT first via HMRC in UK (not sure about using third parties for this ?), and, as far as I know, only then will you be able to upload products and create shipments. I am not sure how long it is currently taking for VAT registration to be completed, but am guessing it could take some time.

I would look for another company to register VAT for you. You do not need proof of inventory at all to register for VAT.

You maybe able to do it yourself via the HMRC website and there will be no fee for doing this. Doing it via a third party will attract a fee.
