Ghost store and closing account problem

Hello, a former employee at my company was instructed to close the seller account (because there were no sales) and the account was closed in October 2021, but the offers and the store remained active for some reason and Amazon still charges $39.99/166PLN our card monthly.
The helpdesk is totally helpless. I’ve waited months for a reply and a phone call just to be informed that a closed account can’t be reopened, so we can’t log in and delete the offers and the store. I can’t even download the invoices…
What should I do? I will be grateful for any ideas, I really don’t want to get fired over this.

I am writing from a new account I’ve made just to be able to contact Seller Central

First of all, so that you are not charged anymore monthly fees you need to downgrade the selling plan from Professional to Individual.
Go to Settings - Account Info - Your Services - Selling on Amazon - Manage. It will show as pending, but you should not be charged anymore once your next payment is due.

It sounds as though the account was not correctly closed - although I have never done it, I believe only Amazon can close the account, and why the offers and store remained active ??

Sadly, creating a new account was a mistake - especially if you have used the same email, bank account etc, as the two accounts will be linked.

I just got a call from Amazon because I tried to report a store for a fraud or something to get it deleted that way – it didn’t work, they couldn’t help me, but they said that they can see the account as active and they gave me a phone number linked to the old account. So I was able to log in using that number and… I landed here on the new account. So the old zombie account is linked with this one I guess.
So how can I close our store now?
