Can anyone tell me what it means when inventory becomes unfulfillable after being active?
I had 5 units active last night, but this morning they're all out of stock and listed as unfulfillable.
I'm going to contact seller support but have very little hope they will be of much use to me sadly have not had very good support with them so far.
Has anyone had experience of this?
Everything else in this shipment appears to have gone safely and 5 other very similar packaged units which were packed right next to them are still active so I don't expect they have been damaged.
TIA

According to https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G200372710
"Products are considered as unfulfillable when they are damaged, defective or otherwise unfit for sale or shipment"
Have you checked inventory ledger to see what is happening with the items? You will be able to change the disposition in that report to see if any stock is unfulfillable.
Alternatively, is your shipment still active on the shipment page or Is it showing as closed? Potentially if open then the products may be moving between fulfilment centre if not fully active.
Hello! @Twiltwil

Hi @Roberto_Amazon and thanks for touching base with me.
Thankfully Amazon relisted my products as sellable when I pressed them about it for further clarity
What I still don't quite understand, when requested to input an expiry date for inventory items with PAO of, for example 12M, what date should we put in? Should you add the standard 30 months plus 12 moths for 12M items?
I think this is why Amazon automatically flagged my units and moved them to unfulfillable.
Thanks,
T
@Seller_gXIAw1OdyYglN I'd like to review this in more detail. Can you please share the case ID?

Hi @Roberto_Amazon. Did my case ID come up in my previus reply as its saying please consider removing any personal data. Would appreciate any advice pertaining to PAO and how to list the expiry dates etc. And what to do with this case now?
Thanks,
T
Can anyone here advise how we're meant to list expiry dates when the item only carries a PAO?
My listing was moved to unfulfillable as I listed their expiry as April 2025 as they carried 6 month PAO. I guesstimated the expiry as not sure what to put for these products.
Meanwhile this product is still selling by many sellers including Amazon and seller support are resolutely not explaining why mine have been removed due to expiry of the products and the policy they refer me to makes no sense in relation to my units.
Can moderators advise as I have had no meaningful explanation from seller support @JiAlex_Amazon, @Roberto_Amazon, @Spencer_Amazon
@Seller_gXIAw1OdyYglN Apologies for the delay on getting back to you. I have gathered the information in your case, and I am currently seeking clarity on how to label items that only carry the PAO symbol.
I acknowledge the importance of clarifying this to avoid future issues. I will get back to you as soon as I have an update.
Thanks for patience.
@Seller_gXIAw1OdyYglN Hello there!
I wanted to send you a quick message. This is still under review, I will contact you back once I have an update.

thank you for the heads up @Roberto_Amazon.
I appreciate your help and guidance.

@Seller_gXIAw1OdyYglN Thank you for your continued patience. Our partner team has provided clarity on this, and I wanted to provide you with additional insight.
In order to prevent receiving issues, an expiration date should also be included in the product itself and/or packaging. The recommended format for cosmetic items is to include the manufacturer date and an estimated expiration date that can be calculated using what you mentioned before:
The expected format should be MM-DD-YYYY or MM-YYYY, in at least 36-size font or more prominent.
The presence of a Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on a product typically indicates the recommended period of time for safe use after the product has been opened. However, it does not necessarily mean that the product will never expire. PAO symbols are usually represented by an open jar icon with a number followed by the letter "M" (e.g., "12M" indicates the product is safe to use for 12 months after opening).
While PAO provides guidance on the safe usage period after opening, products can still degrade over time due to factors such as exposure to air, light, heat, and contamination. Additionally, certain products may have expiration dates even if they haven't been opened, especially if they contain active ingredients that degrade over time.
Hope this information clarifies this matter. For more information, please see our help pages below:
