EFN VAT, Duties and Taxes
Hi,
I’m planning on using EFN to fulfill EU sales from my base in the UK. I wanted to ask, when using EFN, who pays the VAT, duties, and taxes? Will I have customers who are buying from say Amazon DE complain, saying that they had to pay VAT and the duties and taxes on the product they bought because it’s being shipped from UK FBA warehouses to Germany?

You will pay them upfront via amazon
You need to use build international listings to add your offers in eu and there is an option you can select which adjusts your selling price to include those figures so that you are not out of pocket

Effectively, what will happen is that Amazon will remove the VAT for the UK, then add on the VAT for the country you are selling in.
So be aware, that if your not VAT registered in the UK, you will lose immediately, 20% of the selling price.
Once Amazon collect the EU vat, they then remit it to the payments system for whichever country it is.
Also be aware, that Amazon add on at least E3.99 (depending on country), that is on top of the price, that you will never receive.
