Removal order left on my doorstep all weekend and now soaking wet
So, I created a removal order last week, which was delivered to me on Saturday, I was away for the weekend and did not get back until mid day today. The massively oversized box was just left on my doorstep. There was HEAVY rain over the weekend and every item is saturated and damaged. As soon as I lifted the box the bottom just fell out. On top of that the box was about 4 times bigger than it needed to be with NO packing so the items were just rattling around. I’ve spoke to seller support who have told me as they were marked as customer damaged I am not illegible for a reimbursement which is fine had they been delivered safely but the items were damaged because amazons courier left the parcel on my doorstep.
Is it worth me arguing with amazon?

Personally I wouldn’t argue it doubt you will get anywhere You need my Amazon courier on Saturday! I was home all day and we have a very loud doorbell. I went upstairs and came back down ten minutes later only to trip over Amazon boxes… I had to do a double take for minute when I received them only to check the tracking and find out they were delivered ten minutes ago… the courier hadn’t run the bell or knocked and simply opened my front door walked inside and put the parcels in the hall and left…

I would just accept this one for what it is. Amazon have deemed the goods customer damaged so they won’t repent on anything after that because as far as they’re concerned, the goods were already damaged and beyond redemption. Whilst I sympathise with your predicament, can I ask, do you send your goods to Amazon as they are shown in your photos? ie does a mouse, for example get sent like it is shown in the photo? If so, I would strongly recommend you review Amazon packaging guidelines and pack things accordingly in future. This should reduce your damages (and losses).

Just out of interest, do you get any tracking notifications when a removal order is created? or do the goods just get delivered whenever with no prior warning other than the fact that you created the removal order so would be expecting them at some point?

It is well worth complaining about.
I have successfully get reimbursed for just that kind of thing.
Bulb loose in a box etc, then getting damaged during transport.
Regardless of whether they are customer returns or not, Amazon have a “Duty of care”, with your products. By leaving the goods out in the rain, they have damaged them further.
If you don’t get anywhere with support, then escalate to jeff!
It is not acceptable to leave a box on the doorstep outside. They could just as easily have been stolen.

Unfortunately, since you requested a removal order, you should have expected the delivery and if you knew you won’t be at home, asked someone else to accept the package or prepared a safe place where it could be left.
As a full time seller on Amazon, I am getting several deliveries throughout each day with couriers leaving the packages on my doorstep, where I have a special bench under a roof with a sign with instructions for them and a phone number for emergencies or in case a signature is needed.
Whenever I know that no one will be at home, I arrange someone to go and collect all packages every day to ensure they aren’t left outside for anyone to steal them.
The courier couldn’t have known that no one will be at home for days. You really needed to prepare that something like this could happen.

I have had numerous ‘customer damaged’ items further damaged during the FBA return/removal process - electronics sent back in just a clear poly bag, no bubble wrap, single wall Amazon box, and the mains plug directly against the item causing dents/damage. Compared to when I send them in - inch thick bubble wrap around each component and double walled boxes.
Each time I have raised a case with SS, sending photos of the damage, inner and outer packaging, LPN barcode label, removal packing slip and courier labels.
Each one has been reimbursed - some in part, some in full.
So yes, it is worth following this up with Amazon. Yours may be a more difficult case what with the individual items, but give it a go, maybe single out the worst damaged ones, you’ve nothing to lose.

So very sorry to see this man. What is happening to Amazon?

Sorry, to see this but, you look like a home seller running a business without business rates etc.
Best just take it as a bonus of running a home business…
I doubt amazon will be interested in any sense, they are not bothered about you just the commission that they earn out of you.
The only case they will refund you is if the stock is damaged in their warehouse.

I would push Amazon on this to reimburse you for the damaged items. Customer damaged items shouldn’t be accepted as returns in the first place by Amazon as it is against their own returns policy - that is another debate though.
It is perfectly acceptable to expect a removal order to be treated like any other packages, if you aren’t there then it gets held for re-delivery. To leave it outside where it could be stolen or damaged in this way is not appropriate.
For those that don’t know you can keep track of removal orders - but you have to go to the order page of the removal request. There you can see how many units have shipped and how many remain pending. You can also click on a link which then shows all packages that Amazon has sent with each packages contents and courier and tracking information. All my recent large parcels received for removal orders have all required a signature. Maybe this was delivered by Amazon drivers. But this might give you a clue and what the tracking information if any say about the delivery.
Removal orders can take months to receive and to expect you not to leave your premises or to have someone there on the chance items may get delivered is also unreasonable.

Yes, but it was delivered on a Saturday and no delivery date was given, I can’t wait in 24/7 for a delivery.
Had it been a week day it would have been fine.
How anyone can stick up for amazon on this is beyond me
