Amazon suggesting refunds? for non scan items

We have the past 2 days received 2 messages from customers whose orders have not been scanned upon delivery (orders are over 2 weeks pass delivery date) and they have both message saying very similar messages. “Hi, Please refund as suggested thank you.”

Is Amazon now notify customers of items non scanned items to request a refund? I remember a similar thing happening with customers claiming for refunds back in early 2020.

Has anyone else had this lately?

Truly despicable - both the customer and Amazon, if that is what they are suggesting.

No response needed and move on from that nonsense.

Sounds like another good reason NOT to use tracking unless you really must.

I don’t know why they don’t just send all customers an email saying, 'Hey did you know you can get your item completely free… Here’s how…"

They might as well.

Has been going on for a couple years. This when customers see the order in history. Not quite as bad as the pandemic last year where the actively emailed customers to say parcel late and claim. But still bad enough.
