Having two Amazon seller accounts!

Does anybody have two seller central accounts please??

My situation is as follows.
I have an existing amazon seller account through my LTD company and everything is going well.

I want to create another brand with my sister in law using a different limited company.
This product and brand will be in a completely different category to my current product.

According to Amazon this fits the criteria for a second seller account but I am terrified to create one in case they close my original account down.
I created a case asking this question twice and Amazon confirmed that I can open a second seller account but im still apprehensive.

Has anybody does this? Any ideas on the safest way to proceed?

Thanks,
Lee

I have no experience of this so can’t help but the other rules are apparently that you must keep all transactions separate - separate bank account and no cross-account dealing, ie you can’t ever sell product A on account B and vice versa

It’s also advisable to check that your sister-in-law has never had, or been associated with, a third seller account. amazon will check absolutely everything: names, e-mail and postal addresses, bank accounts, previous but uncompleted applications, even the computer used

My understanding is that you MUST get permission first to have and open the second account, NOT just go ahead and do it even if it fits all the criteria.

I have just searched Amazon’s help pages and can find no info. at all about opening a second account, unless there is something buried away somewhere in Seller University, so sorry cannot help anymore.

I would also be wary of just doing it even if a Seller Support rep says you can as they have been known to give out wrong info just to get their case dealt with !

Hi its the same as if you want a US account when your trading on the 5eu, you need to request approval first before you can apply this is just the first part were they will review your current account.
If they say yes you can then apply from the beginning again.
One thing I don’t know is if one account gets suspended for whatever reason will they both.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions everyone.
I’ve emailed seller-performance@amazon.co.uk twice about this and have had no response for about a week now.

Any further suggestions?
Should i keep trying?

Thanks,
Lee
