Postage increase
Postage has gone up again here but Amazon doesn’t seem to follow up with the price increase, this means we are having to loose out as the seller. Is Amazon going to come in line with the UK postage increase as it is now £3 up to 1kg and they only allow £2.80. Come on Amazon move with the times???

That is true, Amazon only ever provide a contribution towards shipping costs that does not reflect the actual postage charges which can vary seller to seller depending on which carrier they use, contracts in place - quantity discounts size weight, volume etc.
A Pro Account can enter the shipping costs they wish to charge. Many offer free delivery.
But with an individual basic account, sellers cannot alter the set shipping charges so have to compensate by increasing the cost of their item to cover any price increases.

It is even worse for CD/DVD box sets which will cost £3.00 to send 2nd class yet the customer only pays £1.26 towards P&P.
You have to increase your selling price to allow for it. I doubt Amazon will EVER increase their set prices - as has been said, if you have a pro account you can set your own postage.
