hOW DO I CLOSE MY ACCOUNT AND GET MY INVENTORY RETURNED???
I cannot close my account because it has been 'deactivated by Amazon as I do not have a VAT number. For over A YEAR I have been telling Amazon that I am not nor ever will be registered for VAT as 1. I am not required to register given my previous turnover and 2. I have closed the business!
Amazon support have been ABSOLUTELY USELESS in relation to this matter.
Basically, they have said that unless I provide a VAT registration number they will not reactivate my account. I cannot provide this!
So, how do I get my account reactivated, my inventory returned and my account closed???
Furthermore I am unable to remove my credit card from my account and they are still charging me for storing the inventory I want returned!!
I have NEVER dealt with a more unprofessional company than Amazon!

I take it from the above you are doing FBA? are you a UK citizen?

IF you are not a Uk citizen and were storing stock in Uk then you were legally required to be vAT registered and Amazon are legally required to enforce this.
The fact you have since closed the business is immaterial to your legal requirements.
