US Based - Registration Extract?
We are based in the USA and have had our company for 20 years which we have gone through a structural change and an official name change (ex: Inc. to LP). We have sent them documents that show all of this which were provided and signed by the State of Texas.
We’re not sure what classifies as a “business registration extract”. Amazon continues to tell us that an LLC-1 or something similar is what they want, but this is a California specific document, and our business is in Texas.
Has anyone gone through this issue before? What does Amazon need to get the account verified? We are not registered in the UK so we wouldn’t be found in the Companies House website which they reference in their help pages.
We’d appreciate any assistance!

Providing an update for other sellers who may run into issues.
Certificate of status actually did NOT work for us. Amazon continued to request business registration documents IE. something similar to a certificate of formation for your LLC, LP, etc. They kept referring to the LP-1 which is a California specific document.
We ended up providing documents that showed that our business was registered in the state of Texas with articles of incorporation. We underwent a name change so we provided the certificate of conversion to them. We also changed from an Inc. to an LP, so we provided that document as well. Within those documents there was a Form 207 which in Texas is the certificate of formation of limited partnership. We were just approved this morning after going back and forth for about a week.
So just to be clear again, the certificate of status did NOT work for us. The assumption here is that Amazon needs to see that your business was fully registered along with the address and all of the additional details that go into the registration of a business. The Certificate of Status just confirms that your business is active, and nothing else besides that.

The document that would most likely fulfil Amazon’s request for a “registration extract” is the “certificate of status (certificate of existence)”: https://www.sos.state.tx.us/corp/filingandothergeneralfaqs.shtml#CC
If they want the Articles of Association/Organization (known in California as LLC-1) you should usually have those filed with the business registry too.
