Registering a brand
Hi everyone,
I think that I am going wrong here.
I import kikoys (cotton sarongs) from Kenya and sell on my own website and by FBA too, via my limited company The Pink Gecko Ltd.
Some years ago I started on amazon. I created products and have happily sold through amazon, first FBM and then FBA.
All good.
However, now my products are now being search suppressed because of missing info (eg size).
When I look to edit the product (to add the missing info), I am told that " You are not authorized to fix this issue. A contribution from the brand owner or an authorized reseller is required to resolve this issue and activate the ASIN. If you are the brand owner or an authorized reseller for this brand, please apply for the appropriate role for this brand in Amazon Brand Registry."
I check the brand of the product and I see that when I set up the products I specified the brand as “The Pink Gecko”…
So, I would very much appreciate some advice.
What must I do next to be able to put my products right?
Many thanks for any help or thoughts.
Jo

Are the products labelled on themselves and/or the packaging as The Pink Gecko, or did you just invent that name for the listing? If they really are Pink Gecko branded goods, who is the brand owner?

Thank you @olderithian and @The_Little_Shop for your help.
I am wondering if either of you or anyone else has any further thoughts before I pursue one of these two options:
- register the trademark and enrol in amazon brand registry, or
- remove my stock from the current listings, get the FBA stock back from the Amazon warehouse, then create a new listings with no brand name at all
Question re this option: would I need new product ID numbers (GCID, UPC or EAN) for each of my new products (which would actually be duplicates?)
Many thanks
Jo
