Listing not appearing on search - Amazon unable to resolve

Hello,

One week ago, we deleted variations from one of our products, including the parent variation. A couple of days later, our sales suddenly dropped to zero and have stayed there.

The listing has been active for over a year and trouble free. It used to be on page 1 for our search keywords, but is now not showing in 20 pages of results.

Since this happened, we been back and fourth with Amazon almost every day. They have advised that the listing (despite all of these being present on the inventory ‘edit’ page):

  • Didn’t have recommended browsing nodes - resolved
  • Didn’t have a product description - resolved
  • Should have more search terms - we re-uploaded the same terms as before: 6 keywords
  • Our account and listing is now in good health and they can’t see anything wrong

We’ve tried deleting and relisting the product, and re-uploaded with the same information - this had no effect.

I’m at a complete loss at what else we can do now - we’ve been on 0 sales for the last week and it’s seriously hurting our income. Amazon agents seem completely powerless to resolve this.

Try changing the separators in your title. You show in the top 3 when i use the separator in the search, but not without it.

Thank you all very much for the suggestions!

Have you checked its not been search suppressed or flagged as adult etc

It’s not search suppressed - listing shows as active. Is there a way to check if it’s been flagged as an adult product?

A search for “Faraday car key box” produces nearly 500 listings. Are you sure yours isn’t in there somewhere?

Yes - scrolling through all 20 pages ours isn’t there. We used to be on page 1 for this exact search term.

Your product title is very repetitive - “Faraday” four times, “Signal blocking” twice etc

Interestingly, whenever we try to change the title of the product on the back end, it never filters through to the product page. Any ideas why this would be?

Thank you, we’ll try that.

We asked Amazon for the title to be updated - we received a response telling us that we can’t, because we’re not the brand owners, but they have forwarded the request on for the brand owners consideration. That request was forwarded directly to us in a separate case.

So, we can’t update the page because we’re not the brand owners, but they’ve sent a message to the brand owners (us) to update the page. What is going on here?!
