Royal Mail Basic Barcode Not delivery tracked
click and drop is delivery tracked.
Basic barcodes on click and drop are not delivery tracked “apparently it is not part of royal mails service” so I am now in the position that i cannot use royal mail 48 as a dispatch method.
Has anyone any solutions to this…I could send and say they were sent stamped, our business model is not one that we can go to normal click and drop.

Click and Drop is neither tracked or untracked, it is simply a website where you can purchase labels from Royal Mail - Tracking will depend on the service you purchase
Royal Mail 48 has a delivery confirmation on their barcodes, however they are not fully tracked (unless you pay the extra for Tracked 48)
However the delivery confirmation should be enough for VTR - I believe that Amazon are checking they are valid numbers before removing listings.

I did mention Royal Mail 48 which does come with a qr/delivery confirmation barcode and normal click and drop using RM48 can see delivery if they so wish in track and trace on RMs site.
If you are on click and drop and use the new “Basic Barcodes” you are not allowed to get delivery confirmation. ie the tracking on RM site will say " “Tracking information is not available for this service”.
So Amazon is asking for tracking on “Royal Mail 48” on VTR, but delivery confirmation doesent work on basic barcodes that RM are providing.

You can use RM48 in click and drop for VTR but it must be under code CRL
