VAT registration - Invalid business registration number

Hi Everybody,

I have been having this issue for a few months now

1) My company registration number was said to not match

2) I managed to edit my registration number then submitted it when i came across message from amazon that it was rejected

How do i solve this problem as they are sending me e-mail about the information which is not matching that on public registers?

Has anyone had this same issue and has had it solved?

Are you able to post exactly what they said? Have you looked up your VAT number on the register to see what might differ?

Have you got the correct number? Your VAT number is not your Company number as registered at Companies House. I am wondering if you have them mixed up.

As above reply, VAT no and company reg number are different. If you are not a UK resident and storing goods in UK for FBA you MUST be VAT registered here.

Sounds like HMRC de-VAT registered you... same happened to me when my turnover was over £250,000!

Good morning @ZeeHaf,

I am Marco and I am glad to help you today.

I am very sorry for the late reply.

I understand that you need assistance for the mismatch on your VAT information.

Could you please send a screenshot of the last notification sent by Amazon in the Performance Notification? I would need more information so that we can understand if there is still a mismatch and help you to address and resolve it.

To access notifications:

- Click on the three small lines at the top left of the central seller.

- Click on “performance” then “performance notifications”

I remain at your disposal to provide additional information about your account. You can continue to post any relevant information related to this topic so that it can be addressed.

Thank you for using the seller forum and feel free to ask additional questions here.

I wish you a great day and I remain at your disposal.

Marco
