Inventory performance/limit for FBA
Hey there,
How does this silly inventory performance thing work for FBA? They have cut down our limit on clothing harshly and our sales are better than last month, I keep removing stock and not sending any new ones but my score keeps dropping and they are decreasing my limit even further. It says for week 35 but we are only in week34 now so I don’t really understand it. Seller support knows less than I do.
Thank you in advance.

There are two limits at play but they are not directly linked. IPI is what they use to determine the maximum physical space you are allowed, whilst the newer restock limits determine the maximum number of units that can be stored.
If your issue is with IPI then the storage limits are only refreshed every quarter, so improving your IPI outside of those refreshes won’t produce immediate improvements - aside from seeing your score increase. The most important factor for IPI is maintaining a high sell-through rate.
For the restock limits Amazon have been quite vague, basically saying that it is some combination of your previous and forecast sales. They also presumably have the ability to modify those sums based on their current / expected capacity. Sending in little and often seems to be key, as does making decisions about what stock may be better as FBM or SFP.
