Buying from a shop to sell on Amazon
Hey all,
Okay, so we have quite a successful Amazon store already selling our own brand items etc…
We’ve just branched out into another item that we saw on sale in a supermarket for cheap so we bought loads of them for Amazon. (same category and it’s not gated etc…) We’ve listed them and sent them to FBA but Amazon has blocked them at the moment due to a trademark issue and they want to see a supplier invoice.
I’m aware that the rights to sell products are handed down from buyer to buyer as long as the products are authentic.
The question is, can I give them my sales receipt to show this was purchased from the store and authentic as surely this is acceptable as far as consumer laws go?
We are in talks with the brand owner to become a reseller but we have quite a few units there currently blocked and taking up space so id like to sort this out before we get official approval from the brand owner as it could take up to 30 days to approve.

They will not accept a receipt from a retailer. You run the risk of them asking for a receipt and it does not help that these Youtube Gurus tell people to buy from retail stores.
Stick to wholesalers and with any luck, you are able to return the products to the retailer with a receipt. If they are already at FBA, hopefully you can create a removal order?

chances are no - not unless you listed as Used
you have bought retail arbitrage and amazon expect valid supply chain invoices - not shop receipts
presumably the Brand only authorise certain sellers which is why its always best to buy from a valid supply chain

Are you? What gives you this impression?
Good luck. This has nothing to do with consumer law because you aren’t acting as a consumer. It doesn’t apply.
I’d get them recalled back.
