Not sure what KYC review is, maybe you are talking about verification?
All sellers have to provide this information. It’s a legal requirement approved by the European Commission and designed to prevent international money laundering. So whether you like it or not, makes no difference.
Amazon has every right to collect this information, they will be breaking the law if they don’t. Other marketplaces do things differently, that’s their choice. I guess Amazon want the most stringent implementation of the law as possible as their name is the biggest to protect.
About “The VAT thing” - you have been breaking the law for years so good riddance. We want fewer criminals to infest the Amazon marketplace. If you choose to now register, feel free, just don’t blame Amazon. Here is the link for registering:

For this reason I would suggest you are unwise to post on here as you will not get the answer you are hoping for. 
I also love China and Chinese people. Amazon however have neglected to enforce the UK laws and the Government have neglected to hold them accountable.
