How long to open new seller account?

I am encouraging a friend open a new seller account, does anyone know (roughly) how long the process now takes from sending off the application to the point where items can be listed for sale? Thanks!

It really can depend… If I remember rightly, I opened my account about 2yrs ago, I have a LTD company and made sure I had my docs in order before applying / going through video verification etc. I think it was around a month total turnaround however I have read recently that the verification is taking quite a while at the moment.

It mostly depends if the friend already has their UTR/Ltd Company docs sorted already and whether all their ID matches
