GTIN used by other Traders
I have recently tried to upload around a 100 products to Amazon. In all cases, they are being rejected as the UPC codes have already been used on Amazon. However the GS1 database shows the real owner of the codes is the company whose products I am trying to list! Amazon are asking for proof of ownership - though of course they can see this themselves on the GS1 database.
Do they really expect me to raise 100 separate cases (one for each product that has failed to list) and spend hours of my time arguing as to who owns the codes??

I feel your pain, I have encountered that so many times, I can’t list something because it has been claimed by fake brands while the GS1 database shows the real brand owner which accidentally is the same I buy from and have invoices for. All I got so far it was Amazon telling me that would contact the brand owner (aka fake brand owner). Obviously they have never replied. It’s time consuming and success is not guaranteed even when showing irrefutable evidence like the pages from the brand owner’s catalogue showing products and EAN number and their entries in the GS1 database. In the real world that should be enough.
