A - Z granted after buyer confirmed received

Hello all - I hope you're having a great day.

I had a customer asking if they ordered a second item from me as they appeared to receive 2 of the same item.

"I have already received this item unless i ordered it again"

I replied with no, sorry, I only shipped the one and only one was ordered.

Now, a week later, I've had an email from Amazon stating the same customer has sucessfully been refunded under the A to Z guarantee. This is the first I am hearing this and am pretty riled up to be fair. It is to be held against me!

There's nothing yet on the Health page and the A to Z is empty but I can see the customer has had a refund.

I am at a loss as I've never had an A to Z before. Can anyone assist?

Surprise Surprise - I lost the appeal.

They now say "We cannot reverse the claim decision unless the buyer confirms receipt of the merchandise AND authorizes a new charge."

The buyer has messaged me prior stating they have had their order. Clearly, they later decided to claim for a refund. I don't know why but Amazon clearly don't want to help sellers.

They want me to confirm again with the buyer that they've had the item?

No wonder we're all fed up with this site!

Off to spend my days with endless, back and forth with seller central until I get a human with a common sense approach to this.

I have an update.

I recieved the same email telling me that an A to Z has been granted to the buyer but the order defect will NOT be held against me now and it has dropped off my health page (back to zero percent).

The buyer still gets to keep the item they told me they received plus their money back. This is Amazon after all.

Persevere everyone and fight each one. The system is broken and unfair. If we say and do nothing, Amazon will think everything is okay in their world.

Honestly, there is nothing you can, even if you provide tracking evidence, amazon will take buyers side. I've had this issue, provided amazon with tracking information and photo evidence of delivery, yet they took buyers side.

Amazons A-Z claim feature is the biggest fraud ever!! And they do nothing about it.

We are getting drop shippers from eBay ordering off us, then opening an A-Z once the parcel is delivered to 'their' customer. Pure profit for them.

Every order is dispatched with tracking and even with a clear POD of the door open, house number on the door and someone handling the package we still loose the claim.

We have lost thousands in these types of claims but what can you do, you cannot escalate this.

If Amazon ever fixed the A-Z claim feature sales will decrease dramatically overnight as they know the majority are fraudulent but the internal system is broke.

I would love to hear from Amazon to see how they can refund a customer in full even though GPS positioning of the courier and a POD image.

Please fix this Amazon!
