Help appreciated

hi, im currently just getting started out on amazon, i have a product that is the same as one already being sold on amazon, but my product is a different brand to the one already on amazon.

i want to create my own listing and use my brand name of my product i applied for a GTIN -generic and got approved

but now when im in the process of adding the product on the product ID i select GTIN
and then brand name - has to be generic it wont let me use the brand name of my product

could anyone help on how i go about using the brand name instead of generic? p.s i have official approval from the manufacturer to use there brand name.

thanks.

Does your product have a barcode?

Do NOT add on the other listing.

Even if the same item, the other Seller will report you and close you down.

It either has to be ‘Generic’ the actual brand shown on the item, or register your own brand, then use that one.

This is why there are so many identical products now on Amz and so confusing to Buyers.
