Amazon refunded "delivered" item
Customer messaged us this morning saying yesterdays delivery had not been received despite it showing a Delivered status. The item was shipped through Amazon Shipping.
Within 7 hours of us investigating and looking for information (obviously we had other stuff to handle also) we were informed by the customer that a woman at Amazon had refunded her money and not to worry.
How is it possible for Amazon to make this judgement when we as a seller have shipped, purchased shipping and done everything possible to get the item to the customer to only have it taken out of our hands in less than 24 hours.
Is there a report we can run to identify any others that have been done like this? This product refund was NOT in a-z claims or anywhere else, without the customers message we’d have been non the wiser.

Oh dear, yet another one - there are a couple of threads about this issue already and it seems that this is Amazon’s latest awful practice.

Don’t worry, you are not the only one experiencing issues with A-Z claims.
Recently, Amazon started handling them differently and is in many cases closing them without even giving the seller an option to represent his case.
Here you can learn more, where this was already discussed:

Once I have more time and research the issue better, I will create a thread where I will explain how the new system works.

This is ongoing practice for months already. Though you need to figure out did
Amazon refunded from their money or from your balance.
I once found 5 orders refunded per month without any message or anything no AZ whatsoever - its completely hidden unless you go trough your orders you will never find it.
Then I grilled them a bit. So now they do not do this anymore to us.
Those were our FBM items.

If you have signed up for SFP then you have signed to give Amazon the right to handle all prime items as they see fit. You will get refunds granted under ‘general adjustments’ which you will never be able to find the actual reason for the refund. It’s great for the buyers.

So aren’t sellers even being emailed that there is a problem - the funds are just being deducted without the seller being told?

We have 1 SFP order where item was delivered to Italy and as it was an SFP order Amazon has decided to refund the customer without consent. We are out of the item which has now gone to Italy and we are out of the pocket for £58.00 - absolutely terrible and unacceptable!
-
Amazon declined as we have not used Amazon’s “Buy Shipping” option. Appealed and denied!
-
Then case reopened Amazon declined as they were not convinced that the item was delivered. We were asked to produce written evidence - seriously? Official Royal Mail and Official Italian post websites not good enough?
-
It was finally refused as it was not delivered on time. The delivery deadline was unrealistic and Amazon only offered £5.50 for postage and we actually paid in excess of £14.00 to cover the postage
ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!!!
Surely there must be a way to complain that Amazon doesn’t comply with their own policies. It’s VERY VERY STRESSFUL!!! We should not be put through this frustration - we have enough on our plate to worry about!!

I wish people would not hi-jack threads concerning another’s example of Amazon’s unprofessional conduct. By all means mention you have the same/similar issue but …
