Anyone seen Christmas Collection Form From Royal Mail
hi everyone,
has anyone here who has royal mail collections been given/sent the Christmas Collection email or form s to fill in. or are they on the RM website only.
i mean simply put if theres none about are Royal Mail does that mean that RM are going to send collection drivers to empty units and home business addresson the off chance`
i know of one local firm who is closed for 2 weeks, who normally has 5 collections per week.
personally I’m closing for 6 days and do want the postie turning up whilst i`m eating my beef and turkey sandwich.

My postie always brings me a sheet to fill out at the beginning of December so it must depend on your depot

I usually get a sheet, but not this year. Ironically though the sheet usually asks if I want a collection on Xmas Eve and NYE, and even when I tick yes, they have never turned up, the postmen think that its because I don’t get Saturday collections, and that is technically a Saturday collection day, though they admit to not having a clue and just get a list, and I’m not on it.
Doesn’t affect me much as I am only closing the same days they aren’t collecting (Xmas Day, Boxing Day, Tuesday and the Monday for NYD)

Had an email on the 17th November saying that our collection driver will give us a leaflet for completion which needed to be completed by 3rd December. We just laughed. No sign of it as expected.
Last year we had the same email. No leaflet was ever provided so we downloaded it as instructed. Handed it to our collection driver before the deadline who looked at it and said “what’s this?” or something to that effect. He’d never actually seen one before. Nevertheless he took it with him. In the days leading up to Christmas each collection driver simply asked us if we needed a collection the following day. The whole leaflet/form thing was a waste of time. That might just be our local office’s attitude to it though.

I realised we hadn’t had one either this year - also couldn’t find the page I would normally use to temp stop collections so goggled and found this on the royal mail christmas page here
