Which one to refund?
Customer bought a rare board game, kept it for two months then opened a return which was auto-granted.
After giving them a prepay return label, Amazon allow them to open no less than four RMAs for the item and then they wait another two months before returning it just after the new year.
It’s now back, covered in sellotape and missing half the contents
I know it’s Amazon’s rules and don’t sell on here if you don’t like it blah blah but this wouldn’t have been possible when I started on here many years ago.
But my question is this…why did Amazon allow them to open four returns for the same item and which one do I refund? I have talked to SS who are even more UTTERLY USELESS than they use to be.
Holy smoke.

Sounds like they have replenished the missing parts from their own game !!
As it has not been returned in the condition you sent it out in, then you are perfectly entitled to withhold a proportion of the refund you give them.
I would also be messaging them prior to issuing the refund, explaining why the whole amount is not being refunded.
