RM delivery stats
I have just had a look at last Monday’s manifest (5th Dec) as it was a really quiet day for us to send
12 items sent
10 x LL 1st class various weights
2 x Parcels 1st class
Delivery On:-
6th Dec x 1
7th Dec x 7
8th Dec x 1
10th Dec x 2
LL Unscanned/ Undelivered x 1
I know this is a very small sample, but considering the horror stories the post is getting through 11 items were delivered within 5 days

Seeing similar sorts of results. I’d wager that RM are getting massively reduced numbers of items alongside a big reduction in physical bulk.

Its economy of scale though and if you consider some of the larger sellers and factor in say the standard services to increase those stats by a factor of 10, it starts to become a horror story. Using your stat and multiplying by 10 for effect
120 sent, 80 delivered within estimate, 40 outside of estimate, 10 losses and potential A-Zs. Not looking so great now is it?

I have so far refunded 8 orders dispatched on 28th November that have not turned up, I have about another 15-20 people hanging on for another few days in the hope it arrives, all while orders posted since get feedback about fast deliveries.
Can only assume my mailing from 28th is lying in a corner somewhere and will probably be delivered in a months time if/when they finally get caught up. In the meantime orders posted after are being delivered
I posted 3 tracked24 orders on 6th December, one was delivered yesterday, another Royal Mail are implying I only give to them yesterday, and the 3rd they say I haven’t given them yet at all. All 3 were handed to postman at the same time with my collection.
There seems to be no logic or pattern.

Regarding posting parcels… I too have a few outstanding royal mail from 29th November mainly. If I refund the parcel what happens? If its delivered do I just lose out?? Thanks

Anything on the 28th Nov has been poured into a massive hole in the ground. I’ve had probably 8 out of every 10 not arrive yet. I’ve tried my best to put people off a few more days but I expect I’ll have to redo most from that day. Other than that it’s slow but still getting there.

likewise the vast majority of issues we have had have been from 28th November.
with two more strike days this week and two next week do Royal Mail seriously think 16th is realistic as a last posting day for 1st class.

I didn’t do any Christmas lines online this year, and am hopeful that those ordering birthday cards etc have planned well ahead

I’ve just checked my tracked 24s sent last week, not one delivered on time (although all have been delivered), one has delivered today that was first scanned last Tuesday but none have had initial scans so they all look like I sent them out late rather than RM sitting on them in a bag somewhere
