Unique Situation for UK Seller based in canada
Hi all,
I have a rather unique situation that is really holding me back from selling on amazon uk.
I am UK citizen, born and bred. However I am a permanent resident of Canada and I currently live here.
I’m going to open a new amazon uk seller account and I’m having an accountant in the UK set me up a Ltd Company.
I understand amazon will ask me for a utility bill to verify my identity. - I don’t have a utility bill in the UK with my name on since I don’t live there. I don’t even pay utilities at my condo in Canada.
So my questions are about trying to streamline this process to start selling.
-
Will they check the address that my Ltd Company is registered too? I was going to register it too my parents/my family home in the uk.
-
Can I set up the Ltd Company but put the address as my Canadian address?
-
For a utility bill, can I use a Canadian internet bill?
-
Does anyone have any advice on how I should go about doing this? ie can I just use all my canadian details and then use my uk bank card?
I know its a lot of questions, so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Why would you setup a UK company? I don’t see that it offers you much?
If you are planning on using UK FBA you will still need to be VAT registered as you will will be a Non-Established Taxable Person.
