Brand names in title

Hi folks,

Just thinking of a new product which I’ll be manufacturing myself using some parts which are a well known brand and some parts which are my own brand. Am I allowed to include the known brand in the title, bullets and description? It’s an important selling point.

As an example, if I was making jewellery and I was using Swarovski crystals, could I have title like “Tone Deaf Music’s necklace, with Swarovski crystals”

(I’m not making jewellery)

Cheers!

Without permission from the brand owner?, and for an item that is only partly that brand anyway?
No, it wouldn’t be a good idea.
If you get permission from the brand owner first that might be different

You aren’t allowed to include any 3rd party brand names in your product titles, bullet points, descriptions or keywords.

The fact that you used Swarovski brand crystals to create your own product doesn’t allow you to refer to it as Swarovski.

Thanks, interesting read that. I only used Swarovski as an example (I don’t do anything to do with them) but it does seem like there should be some options if you are making something with a well known branded part.

I didn’t go ahead with my product as I don’t need the hassle of risking my account but it’s practically a bundle. The brand name part is crimped onto my own brand part. One of the major selling points is that it uses the brand name part. I might just use a cheaper unbranded part and see how they sell.
