Incorrect Images on listing
I have sold a Rowan magazine, however when I was getting it ready to post I found that the image was for a totally different magazine. It was the correct image when I listed it several years ago.
It does say on the image issue 24 but the listing is for issue 23, I have messaged the customer twice to establish which magazine they require, I have received no response and was about to get hit with a late dispatch. I have reluctantly cancelled the order as it is a no win situation. If I send issue 23 it no doubt lead to negative feedback and a return request.
When I have checked all of my Rowan magazine listings a number of the images have been changed to the incorrect image all it appears by the same American based seller who sells most of their books as collectable.I have flagged these up with Amazon but I am not optimistic that they will change. In the meantime I have removed my listings to ensure this does not happen again.

It happens all the time. I see it in the sector I list in.
The biggest problem is that it is really hard to list a new product on Amazon if you don't have permissions to list for that brand.
So what happens is that people change pictures on existing listings to reflect the product they want to sell. For some reason this is relatively easy to do on some listings and you can just upload an image and overwrite it with yours.
I think in this instance you were right to cancel the order. The customer would have expected a different product.
You can report it to Amazon as abuse. Sellers are not supposed to change a product so it reflects a different product. However often Amazon take no action even when you report it.
