Read onlyHello.
I have read about everyone panicking over GSPR, as it's very confusing.
I read that it excludes sellers who use Amazon UK on this page:
https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/GQAYBJPNAZ2LMDDT
It says "For listings on our UK-based store, you don’t need to submit any information to Amazon. You must, however, submit the required information for listings on our EU-based stores. For instructions, open this help page in the Seller Central website for the EU-based store, where you sell products in scope of the GPSR."
Does this mean we are able to continue shipping to the EU as long as we stick to Amazon.co.uk because technically the products are not listed abroad and are only offered on the UK Amazon... maybe this is the loophole?
I am curious if anyone knows, or simply your thoughts on this.
in my opinion it is not a loophole and amazon are wrong.
It doesn’t matter that amazon uk is outside the EU as the rules apply to products that are offered for sale within the union, which in most cases is by virtue of offering delivery there.
You could of course ensure you have the safety docs and the responsible person, however you won’t be able to comply with VTR on Amazon uk as it’s not possible to add those details to the listing pages.
