Already brand name approved
I have been brand name approved by amazon and went to create my new listing under brand name. A box then pops up at the bottom of the listing page stating "You have entered a brand name that has not been approved by Amazon"
I have contacted amazon but they keep telling me "the new version of amazon brand registry requires brands to have an active trademark ..." even though my issue is in relation to Brand Name Approval!!!!

Although I do not sell 'branded' goods as such, that sentence seems to say very clearly to me that you need to have a trademark now before you can register your brand.
Have you looked up on Amazon's Seller University about trademarks and branding - everything you need to know will be there.
I am wondering if this is a new policy to stop multiple people buying generic goods and creating their own brand, which was a mess of their (Amazon's) own making, and has made a complete mockery of the catalogue.

I have a registered trademark for nearly 3 years and still facing this issue from last 2 months, whole brand registery doesnt know whats the issue.
I went ahead and applied for approval and the response i recieved was 'Your brand name is already approved' .
I have given up now, I am unable to create new listings with my own brand name, unable to edit the listings created in last 2 months, unable to extend the offers in other market places.
Cant see any issue on UK marketplace but when i try to extend offer from USA market place it shows, You need approval, and when i click on approval button, it says i can list the product but I am unable to list .
If you get a solution then please do share as i have been going round and round from last 2 months. This is nothing to do with a registered trademark first. US market place is working fine but UK is messed, Seems they made some changes which didnt go well.
