Seller offering two price options
Hi, I tried contacting Amazon help to find an answer on how a seller can offer two different prices on a single product and Amazon support team just copied and pasted some information that is nowhere near my query.
A seller has two prices displayed on the Amazon shopping website, the first price is a fixed price of £8.99 and the other price is an automated price which is always 1p lower than the cheapest price. As of now, I can see two different prices from the same seller on a single product which are £8.99 (fixed), £8.12 (which keeps changing as it is an automated price).
How can I offer two prices on a single product like that ?

Or is one fba and the other fbm ?
If both fbm, they shouldn’t do that, it may however be an oversight on their part but you shouldn’t have 2 offers of the same condition

Have noticed this happening where people will have 1 fnsku on small & light, and 1 on regular prime. When small & light prime is going to take a few days to deliver (weekends, bank holidays etc), the buy box seems to prioritise regular prime, so I’m guessing that’s why they do this.
No idea if its against Amazons rules, but I would imagine that it is. Wouldn’t do it personally.

There are ways to have multiple prices for the same product on Amazon and here is how.
First of all you can have an offering on fba and fbm and they are allowed to differ.
You can also have a business price and in order for this to be displayed it has to be at 1p below your regular offering.
Finally and one which is usually accidental is that you may have a historic listing that was on European fulfillment and now that the IOSS has come back into play, it could be that the listing is intended for an overseas marketplace but displaying it as a repeat in the original marketplace. I have had this happen to me in the past.
I am guessing that if the competitor is really quick with undercutting then they have a re-pricer activated on one of the listings.

We have a competitor that does this all the time, in fact on one listing they have 5 offers all FBM, all different prices and all good condition used. I reported this to Amazon the reply was:
“Thank you for your report of a suspected policy violation. We cannot take action on the report, as no violation has been identified from the details that you have provided.”
