Received order from brand owner
Hi,
Hope someone can help. I have received an order which is from the brand owner of the product I am selling as address is the Head-office. Should I still ship the order or cancel it?
Kind regards

Ship it
Presumably you are authorised to sell it ?

If its bought from retail it should technically only be sold as used and potentially you cant sell it on Amazon. Like for example you cant resell Yankee Candles on Amazon

Looking at your products I’m guessing they’re all bought from retail
just to note, people have had issues with hairburst products as they’re not allowed on amazon

Since you already have a violation on your account, if they report you it could well mean the end of your account. If you ship it, at least they’ll see its a genuine product but the follow up reporting to amazon will no doubt follow shortly after

OMG! If you’re not authorised this branded product, cancel the order and delete the listing immediately! Otherwise you will be back here in a few weeks asking for help with a deactivation of account.

Unfortunately there is history with Hairburst products which is why RA is risky - as you are walking in the dark with regards to brand knowledge
Each time we go to trade shows to seek new suppliers, the first question we ask is are amazon sales of your products/ brand permitted and if the answer is no, we walk away

you must ship the order as most other sellers suggest

So you guys suggest that I should ship the order and wait for the account to get suspended. What is the next step forward as the mistake has already been made? It doesn’t seem POA will be successful either and payment will be frozen as well.

It appears to me that you understand the implications of selling retail otherwise you would not be concerned with sending the product to the company that makes it.
First of all you are not an authorised seller of this product. Many people who sell on Amazon have a relationship with the supplier/manufacturer. It is not just about authenticity with Amazon but it is also about product knowledge.
Successful businesses on Amazon will cover all of these bases early on, maybe have exclusive agreements and certainly be authorised to represent their brand.
You asked the question on whether you should cancel the order and the answer is simple. Absolutely not, post it as though you was posting any other order. I would then re-evaluate your objectives for selling on Amazon.
I understand you may now want to be proactive and this is not a bad thing but you will have to sit tight and see what happens and get your house in order by reading the policies and ensuring you leave nothing to chance. Amazon have the right to just end your account whether you have a valid reason or not.

Closing the listing like this may well look suspicious to the rights owner who placed the test order
