Potential customer from Australia blocked from Amazon UK?

HI - I only sell FMB on Amazon UK (but my international shipping settings are set for sales wordlwide) -
I had an email from a potential customer in Australia who wants to buy one of my items but says he is unable to do so from Amazon UK. He reckons Australians are only allowed to use the Australian Amazon site (which of course I don’t sell on) - is this right? I must admit I haven’t sold anything to the antipodes for well over a year when I used to sell a few every month

Yes, that is correct. It was implemented some years back to avoid large international companies circumventing Aussie GST. Marketplaces only sell from Aussie registered and taxed sites now. Individual small sellers are still allowed to sell directly (but not through Amazon offshore sites obviously).

If they really want it they’ll need a UK delivery address.
