Seller has more stock than third party software shows

Just a quick question, I use software’s like Seller Amp and BuyBotPro to help with my selling experience, sometimes on the stocklist of a certain product, it will say the seller ‘Amazon for example’’ has 10 units left of this product, but then if those 10 units have been bought, it still say’s 10, and sticks to that for a long duration.

Is there a way to manipulate how much inventory you can show to other software’s or is this a bug?

Just curious to see if other sellers have similar situations.

No idea how the software you are using works, but the software I use for listing I can set it to list 10 items at a time, even if I have 1000’s in stock, it will only ever show “only 10 items left”, I guess that would fool your program because even Amazon doesn’t know how much stock I actually have, only I and the software that controls my stock know that, and I’m pretty sure my inventory management software isn’t publishing my stock levels anywhere
