Anyone else experiencing Amazon Buy Shipping forcing UPS and Prioirity Mail for light packages
We are working on our shipments for tomorrow, Monday 5/6. For almost all of our light packages (8oz) that we normally use USPS Ground Advantage for, we are only getting the option for USP or USPS Priority Mail for several dollars more.
None of our shipping options have changed, the orders all show ship by 5/6 for delivery 5/8 to 5/10. Nothing is different other than Amazon trying to force us to pay just about all of our profit towards extra shipping costs.
Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, we are having the same issue. It's so frustrating. Please let us know if you come to any resolution... for now we are just buying our own shipping Ground Advantage shipping labels not on Amazon, but it's cumbersome, and you lose the A-Z protection.

I made the mistake of trying to talk to seller support. I was told that this was clearly stated in the Amazon Buy Shipping Policy that some services would be available and some would not.... blah blah blah.
She absolutely would not listen to what I was trying to say. I know better than to try to get somewhere with SS.
It makes it really hard to calculate what your profit might be (for purchases under $20 and under a pound at least) when you never know which service you're going to be forced to use! Frustrating to say the least!
On a side note, we have a lot of packages that are 12-14 oz. Almost always, when we enter 12oz, USPS Ground Advantage comes up, but when we change it to 13 or 14, it comes up UPS Ground with NO option to change it to USPS GA - only USPS Priority. Then if we go up again to one pound, half the time it will switch back to USPS Ground Advantage. This is crazy! It's been something we've learned to deal with, but what's happening today is way way worse.

This is also happening to us the last couple of days. All of our orders need to be purchased offsite.

Started working 30 minutes ago but doesn't seem to be retroactive. Everyone I've talked to told me they weren't able to get Amazon support to understand. This shows you the dreadful state of affairs when sellers know more about the platform than "support".

Yes I went into shipping settings to try and raise prices for some areas to cover the cost of priority mail.
There is this nonsensical error that all shipping fees must be the same for all regions.
Is that because it costs the same to ship to all regions?
What kind of idiotic shipping logic is that?
I thought Amazon wanted us to be able to ship as quickly as possible - how can I do that if I have to charge the same fee near or far?
Amazon is not about delighting anybody. Amazon is about making using Amazon as difficult as possible.

Yes, Its been like that for a long time. You have the Amazon automated faster shipping times enabled to display to prospective customers so you either have to disable that in your shipping settings or do what I do andlet it ride and when USPS ground is not an option I just buy it off site on Pirate ship. It usually happens to me with a shipment that is within my own state which is so strange because of the close location.

This seems to be more than the normal. A bunch of my orders showing deliver by Friday are telling me to use UPS. I'm not sending 8oz UPS! My other option is Priority Mail.
There should be no reason USPS Ground isn't an option. Yes, I will go to Pirate Ship, but this takes sooooo much time to do a lot of labels this way. Wish they were integrated with Amazon like they are with eBay!

I just might have figured something out with this and it just "fixed" mine. I have 2 return addresses in my setting that are identical except for one small thing. My main return address has my state spelled out. Most of those wanted me to ship UPS or priority. I switched to the profile with the same address with the 2 letter state abbreviation, then poof, all good to go as usual.

We just have this issue this morning. Either amazon is over promising the normal delivery window or it's overestimating the USPS ground advantage's delivery time. Either way, I am not footing amazon's bill. It's ground advantage, one way or the other.
