Any Ideas How this Might Go

We have a customer in France saying that the item we sent her is missing multiple components. Now in some instances I might think we messed up but with this one I am 100% certain, firstly because we use a tick list to make sure everything was there (and it is completed) and secondly the shipping weight matches to the gram for everything being in there.

Customer has not mentioned anything about damaged packaging which would be the obvious reason (other than dishonesty !) so my question is if this goes to A-Z what are our chances ? It was sent on signed / tracked courier with DPD and they normally contact us if there has been an issue with damage.

I would say absolutely nil. You can state from the shipping weight that the components were all there but that is not a guarantee that they were all there when the package arrived (or that the customer is telling porkies). All you can do here is to get confirmation from the customer as to whether or not the package was damaged. If it was, then you can submit a claim to the courier. If it wasn’t, then unfortunately (the way Amazon works) the customer will almost certainly win any A-Z. This is just my honest opinion based upon previous similar threads on this forum.

Been there, done that except with a £500 helmet, buyer in Germany said the helmet was not in the box.

We contacted DPD who weigh every item through the delivery process, the weights tied in exactly to the correct weight it should be.

Buyer filed A to Z, we lost.
