Amazon asking for supplier's supplier invoices
So I have setup an account on Amazon and applied for brand approval request. I submitted purchase invoice however I have been sent an email asking for supplier’s supplier’s invoices. I think that is very unfair. No supplier would provide that. Any help would be appreciated?

This is standard on amazon
Where did you buy your goods from if you are branding them as your own ?
Did you send a pro forma invoice / alibaba etc ?

From what I understand so far, you are “Applying to Sell” on an existing listing and not trying to create your own listings.
By the sounds of what you are saying, Amazon have rejected your initial Purchase Invoice you provided. So they are asking again for a “Supplier Invoice” which is basically your Purchase Invoice, as the company you have purchased from is your supplier!
So does your purchase invoice have enough details? Does it contain the Full Suppliers Company details? Does it show at least 10 units for the item your applying to sell? Does it include all the item details so that they can relate the product as an exact match to the ASIN, such as MPN or EAN/GTIN13? Does it show the brand? Does the invoice display the same address (your) that matches your registration/business address on Amazon?
If not then it would be rejected.

I had a customer authenticity complaint and so I sent the wholesale supplier’s invoice. They then asked for the supplier’s supplier. My supplier was very good in providing that as well, they also provided an accompying letter authorising sale of the brand and, of course, full contact details for the supplier and supplier’s supplier were povided. Amazon still refused to remove the complaint despite providing all the information, it feels unfair that no attempt appears to have been made to try to contact either the supplier or the supplier’s supplier in order to determine authenticity. Moreover, I use FBA so Amazon are in physical possesion of the stock and this gives them further opportunity to determine authenticity. I appreciate the need for brand approval and verification but the current system seems to be based around a list which Amazon has of approved suppliers whilst there is a missed opportunity for Amazon to contact suppliers and/or send stock to the brand owners in order to confirm authenticity.

I hate to say it but its been seen on here before…they request the source info then it appears in their own catalogue…the hoops we have to jump through is smoke and mirrors as they let foreign sellers get away with anything…just another point of view, hopefully wrong for your sake.

Amazon is not selling the product itself probably because of limited availability. But I am not sure if the reason is that. I just find it unfair to be even asked supplier’s supplier’s invoice. Which supplier in their right mind would give that?

God nothing is ever easy with Amazon is it. I hope you can get it sorted.

Ok. Here is the update. I was allowed to sell the brand after I emailed the supplier and asked for their invoices. They refused it . And I passed on the email to Amazon. Strangely, I was ungated which I was not expecting. I move on and start selling. Someone complains to Amazon about inauthenticity. They ask for the invoice. I provide the same supplier’s invoice but I am being asked again to provide supplier’s supplier invoices.

Were they all brand new items you bought and were all the boxes still factory sealed?
