Austria Parcels Returned
We have had at least 2 Austria parcels returned in the last month and 2 are currently stuck in their Customs, we use Royal Mail which provides the CN22 form with details filled in as provided, same we use for France, Germany etc without any problem, one of the returned parcels has a sticker saying “Insufficient Documents for Customs Clearance” with Sender Name and Address circled with a pen, 2nd one just has the Sender Name and Address circled with no other details.
I am not sure what other details they need for Customs clearance, have others faced this issue? Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Did you submit the details of the shipment electronically? Including the IOSS number Amazon provides? Did you include your EORI number? The Customs Tariff code?

Thanks for that, just checking the EORI stuff, confused whether I need a GB one or an EU one? this is what gov.uk says.
If you’re moving goods to or from Great Britain
If you move goods to or from Great Britain you must get an EORI number that starts with GB. If you already have an EORI number and it does not start with GB, you must apply for a GB EORI number.
If your business will be making declarations or getting a customs decision in the EU
To make a declaration or get a customs decision in the EU you will need either:
- an EORI number from an EU country
- an EORI number beginning with XI and a permanent business establishment in Northern Ireland
