Proof of affiliation required for amazon listing
Went to list a new item and AMZ didn’t accept my GS1 EAN. I provided proof with a GS1 cert, a screenshot of the error message, and all the required information. It now wants me to provide “proof of affiliation”. I do what I’ve always done when creating listings, I find suppliers on Alibaba and purchase items, there is never an agreement between us, nor are the products copywritten or trademarked. I spoke to the wholesaler and they have no idea what I’m on about. I pleaded with seller support but they wont look at my issue until I submit proof of affiliation. What should I do?

Sounds like there was an issue with the brand name you were entering
Were you entering your brand name and if so, are you trademarked and enrolled in brand registry
Or do you state generic instead?

I have a registered brand and am trademarked.

Hi @Saboa,
Thank you for reaching out!
Could you please provide a case ID, which you have submitted to the Brand Registry or Seller Support?
Kind regards,
Julia.
