When did Amazon start offering credit at my expense?
Just got this message when I queried why an order I shipped three days ago still shows as payment pending.
"Please be informed that, the payments of the Pay by Invoice order: 206-0410958-7658766 allows qualified Amazon Business customers to make purchases on Amazon and receive billing invoices for their orders. Which is the main reason the order has not been a payment yet and it suggests open invoices since you have sent the parcels as required and are delivered.
Let me provide detail explanation on this and I appreciate your patience towards go through the correspondence below.
Please know that, Amazon Business customers who have access to Pay by Invoice have terms such as net 30 that determine when their invoices are due (30 days after bill date in case of net 30) giving them up to 30 days to make the payment. Every seller can be include in the Selection process as it is made available on Amazon Business to ensure the same growth opportunity for all sellers and the wide selection for Amazon Business customers. "
Apparently there isn’t even an opt out. Amazon isn’t particularly profitable for us, but it DID improve cashflow, not sure I will even be able to say that in the future…

It was around a year ago I think. Everyone is opted in without exception. There is apparently a service you can pay Amazon for to get paid faster. Surprise.

No opt out for anyone. Even individual sellers. Amazon decided about two years ago that all sellers had to offer credit to business buyers.

We find that the Uk’s not too bad, but the German’s love a bit of credit. We always seem to have a “rolling” amount on credit.
